<Yulchon AI Academic Research Project Interim Presentation>

On Thursday, June 18, AIIS held the interim presentation for the 2026 “Yulchon AI Academic Research Project,” supported by Nongshim Group's Yulchon Foundation.

At the interim presentation, principal investigators selected for the 2026 Yulchon AI Academic Research Project shared their progress and key results to date and presented their plans for future research.

Presentations were given by Professor Kang Yu (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) on “Advancing Language Models through Extreme Lightweighting of Large Language Models,” Professor Kim Do-nyun (Department of Mechanical Engineering) on “Developing AI Design Technology for DNA Origami Structures to Overcome the Limits of Data Scarcity,”

and Professor Junseok Lee (Graduate School of Data Science) on “Developing and Applying Identity-Preserving Image Editing Technology,” in that order.

The professors shared the status and results of their respective research projects and exchanged a range of views on future research directions and potential applications.

AIIS plans to continue supporting outstanding AI research in cooperation with the Yulchon Foundation, contributing to the development of core future AI technologies and strengthening research competitiveness.
