<Visit of LawZero, Affiliated with Mila in Canada, to AIIS>

On December 11, 2025, AIIS hosted researchers from LawZero, an organization affiliated with MILA (Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms) in Montreal, Canada, for discussions on international exchange and cooperation in AI.

The visit was arranged to explore possibilities for AI research cooperation and to lay the groundwork for future joint research and expanded academic exchange.

The meeting was attended by AIIS Deputy Directors Park Jin-ho and Kwak No-jun and Department Head Lee Jong-ho, along with Dr. Philippe Beaudouin, Senior Researcher at LawZero, and Andrew Lim, Research and Innovation Officer at the Quebec Government Office in Korea.

The two sides shared perspectives on AI research trends and policy and key issues surrounding responsible AI, and exchanged wide-ranging views on future directions for cooperation.
