<2026 AI Research Support Program Leading Innovation Research Center Kickoff Meeting>

AIIS held the kickoff meeting for its Leading Innovation Research Centers on April 21.

The event brought together a range of research centers, including the Quantum AI Research Center; the International Cooperation Center for Physics-Informed Learning-Based Energy Geomechanics AI; the Physical AI Innovation Research Center for Operating Rooms; the AI/Machine Learning-Based Diagnostic Support Research Center; and the Medical AI Research Center, as well as the Human Twin Intelligence Center; CECV (Center for Excellence in Computer Vision); the Health and Care AI Research Center; and the Spatial AI & Living-service Center, along with the Center for Adaptive Aging and Lifetime Mental Wellness and the AI ELSI (Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications) Research Center, among other centers spanning a wide range of fields.

Participating centers shared their research plans and key directions, and discussions were held on activating future joint and convergence research through networking among participating faculty and researchers.

AIIS plans to use this kickoff meeting as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among research centers and accelerate the development of a convergence-oriented AI research ecosystem spanning diverse fields.
