<Memorandum of Understanding between AIIS and the National Tax Service>

On May 29, AIIS and the National Tax Service signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote the use and advancement of AI in national tax administration.

The agreement was designed to draw on AIIS's research capabilities and the National Tax Service's administrative expertise to support the AI-driven transformation of tax administration and to build a safe and reliable framework for AI use.

Through continued cooperation, the two institutions plan to apply the latest AI technologies and research outcomes to tax administration and drive AI-based administrative innovation.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will pursue cooperation in areas including advisory support for AI adoption and implementation strategy in tax administration, joint research on safe and responsible AI operation policies and governance frameworks, and educational programs to strengthen AI project development and data analysis capabilities.

AIIS plans to continue expanding cooperation with public institutions, pursuing research and industry-academia-research cooperation to promote the responsible use of AI and create social value.
